The Witte rubber compounding pump is designed and manufactured for rubber processing.
This pump type is specially developed for rubber processing and rubber compounding.
Most rubber compounds are very sensitive to heat. This requires a pump that limits the temperature increase to a minimum.
The pump can be executed with housing, shaft and even bearing cooling.
The addition of a gear pump to the rubber compounding line makes it possible to reduce the overal temperature in the system.
This reduces degradationand possible vulcanisation of the rubber product.
Examples of rubber compounds: EPDM, CR, NR, NBR, SBR, NR FPM, BR…
The use of a gear pump in the rubber compounding line has several advantages.
- By reducing the pressure the extruder will work more efficiënt and at higher capacities.
- The outlet pressure of the extruder can be controlled seperatly, enabling maximum efficiency.
- Higher pressures can be generated without the negative effect of temperature increase.
- The overal pressure and capacity can be controled more evenly ensuring higher product tolerances.
- The total output will be higher than with a similar line without a gear pump.
