Stacked Dosing Systems
The Flow Factor 2 is a versatile dosing system platform.
The idea is that all functions for a reliable, accurate and stable dosing system can incorporated with the platform.
The Flow Factor 2 consists of:
- Micro Dosing Pump (type and execution based on requirements)
- Flow Controller (Flow-Connect)
- Flowmeter (type and execution based on requirements)
- Inlet filters
- Tubing
- Valves and fittings
Flow-Connect:
The Flow-Connect flow controller ensures smooth and gentle operation of the micro pump over the complete flow range.
The easy to use touchscreen allows for accurate control settings.

Pump Selection:
Dependent on the foreseen used liquids are the basis of the pump selection.
Items like capacity, chemical nature, viscosity, required pressure and budget are of a big influence on the actual pump selection.
Flow Meter Selection:
Even though the pump selection seems to be the important factor in a dosing system, the actual accuracy is highly dependent on the selection of the flowmeter.
Choosing the right flowmeter will determine the final result.
Also here the capacity, chemical nature and viscosity are important factors.
The open structure of the platform allows for easy acces for maintenance purposes.
Flow Factor 2 is a platform system.
The system is expandable, allowing for controlling multiple systems with one touch screen.
This makes it ideal for building up laboratory systems.

Pump Selection
The pump capacities can range from a few ml/min upto approximately 2 l/min.
(Higher capacities are available in different Flow Factor executions)
Due to the stable operating conditions micro gear pumps are the most commonly used.
Other type of pumps might of course also be suitable for your application.

Flow Meter Selection
There are many different types of flowmeters.
They all have their strengths and their weaknesses.
Coriolis type meters for instance will be very accurate, but they will also be very expensive.
Oval gear meters will be very suitable for high viscosities, but they can be inaccurate with low viscosities and in their lower operating range.
The flowmeter selection is there fore very important.

Flow Control
You want the flow control to be easy, so you can focus on the important part of your process.
The Flow-Connect makes flow control easy.
After setting up the system, simply select the desired flow rate, press the start button and go with the flow.
Additional items, like filters valves and (pressure) sensors can be added on request.
