The extruder comes equipped with a melt pump and is seamlessly controlled by a PLC.
Height-Adjustable Frame: The extruder package is mounted on a height-adjustable frame for easy implementation in various extrusion setups
Horizontal tooling plate: The melt pump is mounted to an adjustable tooling plate to allow easy changeovers, cleaning, and maintenance tasks. This design enhances operational flexibility and convenience.
Compact and Mobile: The entire extrusion system is designed to be compact and mobile, weighing less than 150 kg, making it highly adaptable for various setups and environments.
Small size / High performance: Output flow up to 15 – 20 kg/hr, max. pump output pressure 350 Bar
The Lab Extruder is suitable for most common and not so common polymers
The extruder feeds the melt pump at a operator defined inlet pressure while the pump controls the output flow of the extruder.
Consistant plastification: The setup keeps the pump inlet pressure at a constant – user defined value to ensure a consistant melt quality.
Consistent Pressure and Temperature: The pump cleans up the melt flow and compensates pressure fluctuatons.
Increased Pressure Output: The integrated melt pump allows the setup to achieve an output pressure up to 350 bar.
Additional Advantages of the Melt Pump in Processing:
Pulsation and swirl Reduction: The melt pump effectively compensates the pulsation and flow swirl caused by the extruder screw. This to ensure a smoother and more controlled extrusion process.
